Rules and Regulations
Version 1.0 · Effective 30 June 2026
By registering for Season of Legends, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Rules and Regulations. Review them carefully before completing your registration.
1. Eligibility and Age Verification
1.1Participation is strictly limited to individuals aged 18 years and older. No exceptions will be made.
1.2During online registration, you must provide your full date of birth. Your identity and age will be physically verified against your original government-issued ID at your chosen hub.
1.3Accepted IDs for on-site verification: NIN Slip, Voter's Card, International Passport, or Driver's License. Digital uploads during online registration are not accepted.
1.4Participants must be able to physically attend certified hubs in Enugu or Nsukka for qualifiers, celebrations, or the Grand Finale.
1.5Employees, contractors, judges, and immediate family members of Da Axis Limited or event partners are ineligible to compete.
1.6The organizers reserve the right to verify age and identity at any stage. Failure to present valid ID at the hub, or mismatch between provided information and ID, will result in immediate disqualification and forfeiture of any prizes.
2. Registration and Account Integrity
2.1Each participant shall register only one account. Multiple registrations, proxy entries, or fake identities are strictly prohibited.
2.2All information provided during registration must be accurate and up to date.
2.3The following fields are mandatory during online registration and must each be completed before your registration can be confirmed:
·Phone number — your primary contact number for calls and SMS.
·WhatsApp number — the number on which you actively use WhatsApp. This may be the same as your phone number or different; both must be provided separately.
·Email address — a valid, actively monitored email address.
These details are required to deliver match schedules, hub assignments, compliance notifications, and prize disbursement updates. It is the participant's sole responsibility to ensure all three are accurate and active at the time of submission and throughout the duration of the event.
2.4A non-refundable Administrative Fee applies to all registrations. This fee is not a registration or entry fee. It covers hub operational costs, logistics coordination, and officiating expenses required to run a certified, supervised tournament experience. Season of Legends prize pools and programme costs are separately funded by strategic partners and the Season of Legends movement fund. Payment is collected at the point of online form submission and must be completed before your registration is confirmed. No payment will be collected at the hub. The exact Administrative Fee amount will be clearly displayed on the payment page prior to checkout. Upon successful registration and payment, each participant will be issued a unique Registration ID Code. This code serves as your official proof of registration and must be presented at the hub for identity verification and check-in. Hub assignments will be communicated after the registration window closes. Each participant will be notified of their assigned hub location, reporting date, and time via email, SMS or WhatsApp to the numbers and email address provided during registration. Participants are responsible for reporting to their assigned hub only. Reporting to an unassigned hub will result in denial of entry with no refund.
2.5The organizers reserve the right to reject, suspend, or cancel any registration that violates these terms or raises security concerns.
2.6Online registration does not guarantee participation. In-person ID verification at the hub is mandatory to activate your eligibility to compete.
3. Competition Format and Gameplay
3.1Season of Legends is a skill-based esports circuit comprising:
·Phase 1: Zonal Qualifiers across the certified 18+ hubs.
·Phase 2: Mini Celebrations in Enugu and Nsukka.
·Phase 3: Grand Finale at Enugu.
All matches are 100% skill-based. There are no chance-based mechanics, gambling elements, or wagering of any kind.
3.3Schedules, brackets, and venue assignments are subject to change. Participants will be notified via SMS, email, and official social channels.
3.4Participants must check in at least 30 minutes before their scheduled match with their original ID. Late arrival may result in forfeiture.
3.5Technical failure and tiebreaker protocol. In the event of power outage, network failure, or device malfunction at a certified hub, event officials will make reasonable accommodations to reschedule affected matches. If a match cannot be reasonably resumed, organizers reserve the right to declare a draw, replay, or administrative decision based on available data.
Match structure. All competitive matches consist of a mandatory two-leg format. Both legs must be played in full regardless of the result of the first leg. If a participant wins both legs, they advance outright. If the two legs result in a tie, a third deciding leg is automatically played. The third leg is a tiebreaker and is only triggered by a tie result across the first two legs. If the third leg itself ends in a tie, the referee or event official will immediately and automatically trigger a penalty shootout. The format of the penalty shootout will be determined by the officiating team on the day based on game title and prevailing conditions. The penalty shootout result is final, binding, and not subject to appeal.
4. Code of Conduct and Safety
4.1All participants, creators, vendors, and spectators must treat others with respect. Harassment, hate speech, intimidation, or physical aggression will not be tolerated.
4.2Participants must comply with all venue safety protocols, staff instructions, and responsible engagement guidelines.
4.3Violations of 4.1 and 4.2 may result in a warning, temporary suspension, or permanent disqualification at the discretion of event officials.
4.4Spectators at certified hubs must respect 18+ verification protocols and refrain from disruptive behaviour. Organizers reserve the right to remove any individual compromising safety.
5. Fair Play and Anti-Cheating
5.1Season of Legends enforces a zero-tolerance policy against cheating, exploiting bugs, match-fixing, unauthorized software, or account sharing.
5.2All gameplay may be monitored, recorded, or reviewed by officials. Real-time fraud monitoring is active throughout the circuit.
5.3Violations will result in immediate disqualification, ban from future circuits, and potential reporting to relevant authorities.
5.4Participants must use only authorized accounts, devices, and peripherals provided or approved by event staff.
6. Financial Transactions and Prize Distribution
6.1All prize disbursements are routed exclusively through our official transaction layer.
6.2The total prize pool will be distributed among 19 verified winners as published in the official prize structure.
6.3All prizes are skill-based rewards and comply with Enugu State Gaming Commission (ESGC), Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), and Nigerian Data Protection Act (NDPA) regulations.
6.4Prizes will be disbursed to a verified account or wallet. All prize payments will be processed within 7 working days of the conclusion of the tournament and verification of winner identity. Delays caused by incomplete or mismatched account details are the sole responsibility of the winner. Name matching protocol. The account holder name must reasonably match the winner's verified government ID.
6.5Name variation resolution. Minor differences such as spelling variations, name order, or documented nicknames may be resolved by signing a Name Variation Declaration at the hub, provided phone number and other identifiers align. Completely different names or suspected third-party accounts will be rejected.
6.6Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and subject to applicable Nigerian tax withholding laws.
6.7Winners must claim prizes within 14 days of official announcement. Unclaimed prizes will be redistributed or donated to community development initiatives.
6.8In the event of technical failure, power outage, or force majeure, organizers reserve the right to adjust, postpone, or redistribute prizes fairly.
7. Data Privacy and Consent
How your personal data is collected, used, and retained is set out in full in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Rules and Regulations.
8. Media and Content Consent
8.1By participating, you grant Season of Legends and its partners the right to capture, edit, and publish photographs, video, audio, and gameplay footage for promotional, documentary, and reporting purposes.
8.2You may request blurring or removal of your likeness by contacting info@seasonoflegends.com with the subject line MEDIA REMOVAL REQUEST within 7 days of publication.
8.3Creator participants who opt into the residency program grant additional usage rights as outlined in the separate Creator Agreement.
9. Liability and Disclaimers
9.1Participation is entirely at your own risk. The organizers, venue partners, and sponsors are not liable for personal injury, loss, theft, or damage to personal devices or belongings.
9.2The organizers are not responsible for travel expenses, accommodation, or internet and power disruptions.
9.3Season of Legends is a community-driven movement. While we strive for excellence, we do not guarantee uninterrupted service, specific outcomes, or commercial returns.
9.4These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Enugu State Gaming Commission regulations.
10. Dispute Resolution and Appeals
10.1In-game rulings by referees or administrators are final.
10.2Formal appeals must be submitted in writing to info@seasonoflegends.com with subject line APPEAL within 30 minutes of the incident, with supporting evidence. Appeals submitted after this window will not be considered. For match disputes, the 30-minute window begins at the end of the disputed match. For disqualification decisions, the participant has 30 minutes from the moment they are formally notified of their disqualification by an event official to submit a written appeal with any available evidence. A disqualification appeal submitted after this 30-minute window will not be considered. The Appeals Committee decision on disqualification is final, binding, and not subject to further review.
10.3The Appeals Committee will review and respond within 2 hours of submission during active event days. Their decision is final and binding.
10.4Unresolved disputes shall be handled through mediation in Enugu State, Nigeria.
11. Amendments and Event Modifications
11.1The organizers reserve the right to amend these rules with reasonable notice posted on the official website and social channels. Season of Legends is a growing tournament ecosystem. These Rules, Regulations and Terms of Participation will evolve across circuits and seasons to reflect new game titles, expanded hubs, regulatory updates, and operational learnings. The version applicable to each participant is the version in force at the time of their registration. Continued participation in any future Season of Legends circuit constitutes acceptance of the updated terms in force at that time. Participants are encouraged to review the current version before each new registration.
11.2We reserve the right to postpone, modify, or cancel the event due to safety, regulatory, logistical, or force majeure reasons.
11.3The Administrative Fee is strictly non-refundable under the following circumstances: participant withdrawal at any stage, disqualification for rule violations, failure to present valid ID at hub verification, or failure to attend the assigned hub on the scheduled date. In the event of a hub-specific disruption such as power outage, venue unavailability, or logistical failure at a particular hub location, the organiser will make reasonable efforts to reschedule or reassign the affected participant to an alternative hub. No refund will be issued in such cases as the administrative costs have already been committed. A full refund or credit toward a future Season of Legends circuit will only be issued in the sole event that the organiser cancels the entire tournament across all hubs with no rescheduled date. This is the only circumstance under which a refund may be issued, and it shall be processed within 30 days of the cancellation announcement.
